Information, not advice

Lustre provides general information about coins. Grade values are editorial estimates and melt values are calculated from third-party spot prices that can be delayed or wrong. Nothing on Lustre is an appraisal, a quote, financial advice or an offer to buy or sell. Dealers pay less than retail estimates. Check any significant coin with a recognised grading service or a qualified dealer before you buy or sell.

No warranty

The site is provided as is. We try to keep mintage, composition and other facts accurate and cite our sources, but we do not guarantee them. To the extent allowed by law we are not liable for losses from relying on the site.

The scanner

The scanner is a preview and may return an example reading rather than a real identification. A scanner reading is a suggestion, not authentication: it cannot tell a genuine coin from a counterfeit.

Content and images

Coin images are public domain, with credits on each page. The text, the editorial estimates and the structure of the catalogue are Lustre's. Please link to us rather than copying the catalogue in bulk.

The Exchange

The Exchange is planned and is not live. Joining a waitlist creates no obligation on either side.
